LUDLOW, Vt. - On June 4th at approximately 3:00 pm, Russell Nord was located by a search team deceased in a wooded area off East Hill Road in Ludlow.  He was located approximately 1.7 miles from his residence.

At 1 p.m. on May 26, rescuers with Waterbury Backcountry Rescue brought an injured 18-year-old female hiker down Camel’s Hump and to safety. Late on Tuesday, May 25, the Burlington resident injured her ankle on the Long Trail as she descended north toward Jonesville.

HARTFORD, Vt. (AP) — A Vermont woman is facing kidnapping and other charges accusing her of stealing a pistol from a parked vehicle at a New Hampshire gas station, entering another parked vehicle and forcing a man to drive her to Vermont, police said Thursday.
