This week, through Friday, December 16th, Camp Ta-Kum-Ta will team up with KOOL105 (WKOL 105.1 FM) for their 24th annual fundraising drive to benefit local families impacted by childhood cancer. The drive takes place on the air each day from 5 am to 10 am.

The week-long fundraiser aims to raise essential funds needed to send as many local children as possible to Camp Ta-Kum-Ta’s year-round programming and help to reclaim their childhood lost to cancer. There will be no shortage of joy and laughter throughout the broadcast.
The KOOL105 Camp Ta-Kum-Ta Thon features stories from campers, families, volunteers, medical professionals and community members all of whom have attended the year-round camp or know someone who has. Hundreds of donors throughout the KOOL105 listening area, call into the event to donate and even share their own cancer journey. Their outpouring of support over the last 24 years has grown the KOOL105 Ta-Kum-Ta Thon to be Camp Ta-Kum-Ta’s largest annual fundraiser bringing together individuals and businesses to support the cause.
“I am constantly amazed by our KOOL105 listeners and their continued support for the children of Camp Ta-Kum-Ta.” said Mark Knight, KOOL105 DJ and Organizer. “Many listeners have been calling in since our first broadcast and we know they’ll come through to support these wonderful families again this year too.”
In July of 2022, Camp Ta-Kum-Ta, was able to return to year-round in-person programming after 3 years of virtual programming due to COVID and welcome campers back to their 103 acre facility in South Hero, VT.
“Camp wouldn’t be possible without the KOOL105 Ta-Kum-Ta Thon and the donors that call in to the station,” said Dan Osman, Director of Development at Camp Ta-Kum-Ta. “Their generosity makes a tremendous impact on our ability to create magical experiences and put smiles on the faces of our campers. We are so grateful!”
